Bible Study Classes
"New Testament Overview"
class outlines
The outlines below are intended as a foundation and beginning for study of each book of the New Testament. They are not complete studies, but were used in a series of fifty-minute classes on Sunday mornings at our church to familiarize people with the contents of the New Testament and provide them a format in which they could continue individual study.
The class is designed to provide a basic understanding of each book in the New Testament, including:
-Author and time period in which the book was written
-A description of the social setting and culture where appropriate (i.e., Corinthians and Ephesians)
-Purpose of each book
-Key themes, key words and key phrases
-More detailed notes on at least two passages covered in greater detail during our Sunday classes
All files are DocX unless otherwise specified. Each item opens a download file window.
"Conversational Religion"
class outlines
We offered the Conversational Religion Class at our church to facilitate healthy dialogues with people who believe in things other than the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The class was not intended to explain fully the beliefs and structure of other religions, but only to introduce people to their Core Beliefs. The primary goals of the Conversational Religion Class were:
1.Provide a basic understanding of the Core Beliefs of several major religions and how they view God, Jesus, Salvation, Eternal Life and Authoritative Scripture.
2. Contrast these Core Beliefs of other religions with the Core Beliefs of the Gospel
3. Explore effective ways to share the Gospel with people of other religions.
